Cultural Festival Day

Last Friday the Kapa Haka roopu attended the Southern Bay of Islands Cultural Festival. We were learning to use facials throughout the performance.Before we left we warmed up our vocal cords. When we got there we waited for Kawakawa Primary to powhiri us on. I loved watching all of the performances. After Maramaku it was our turn. We all waited outside for Maramaku’s roopu to walk off stage. We all walked on line by line, as we stepped on stage we performed 8 items. We were all so proud of ourselves when we finished. Next time we go I think that I could push myself even harder.
